Charges/Sessions

TUTORING IS AVAILABLE IN ALL SUBJECTS AND GRADE LEVELS 

Reading/Writing/Grammar— help with difficulties in these important subjects including phonics/spelling, reading readiness, and creative writing which are critical to academic advancement and success in school and a successful career.
Mathematics— emphasis is on problem solving which includes addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.   Fractions, probability, estimation, and measurement at the elementary level.    At the high school level, we provide tutoring in algebra, geometry, calculus, and trigonometry.
Sciences—Chemistry, physics, and biology.
Literature and Advanced Writing
English as a Second Language (ESL)—English is taught to international students by a native English teacher and includes:  grammar, spelling, vocabulary, reading, writing, and conversation.
History, Geography, Government, and Political Science
Learning Disabilities—ADHD and ADD 
Gifted and Talented Enrichment Activities
Organizational/Study Skills
Test Preparation

Adult services

Adult tutoring and learning services include:  Preparation and study for SAT, ACT, GRE, MAT, GED, GMAT, TOEFL, Military entry examinations, and other employment related tests, Improving job advancement skills, English as a Second Language (ESL) educational services including English grammar, writing, and conversation. Private tutoring for Undergraduate and Graduate students including assistance for reviewing papers, resumes, and cover letters.

Charges/Sessions

Charges range from $30 to $50 depending on the length of time of each session and the distance from the nearest qualified and available tutor.  The minimum time for a session is one hour.  A minimum of two sessions a week is recommended.  Sessions are conducted on a One on One basis in the student’s home or public library.
