About Us

Hedger Tutoring and Learning Center was started three years ago to address a broad variety of learning and homework challenges that had been observed and evaluated by Ron and Jeanne Hedger during extensive experience in the education field.  The purpose of the Hedger Tutoring and Learning Center is to identify why students are having difficulty being successful in the traditional school setting.  We have taught and worked in diverse school settings and have found that homework can be completed accurately and turned in on time if a student’s learning strategies are adjusted to fit his/her individual needs.

Learning in all subjects and at every grade level should be an exciting and rewarding experience. An enriched curriculum makes it possible for all children and adults to demonstrate that they do have the capability to understand subjects that sometimes seem impossible.  Our promise to each student and his/her parent is that we will make every effort to find out the problems a student has with homework and learning and how we will help using our abilities to enrich each student’s educational experience.  We always use a proven One on One approach to recognize the importance of each child and their need for an individualized learning program without peer pressure and distractions. Emphasis is also placed on building confidence and self esteem.

We carefully screen only the most competent and experienced tutors/teachers who have demonstrated through their educational and scholastic background that they know how to motivate and encourage children to learn in a caring manner which is comfortable and yet stimulating for them.   Our tutors are the best and their abilities demonstrate they know how to help students discover the joy of learning and open the key to knowledge.
