The tutor will explain and answer challenging questions related to assigned homework.  If difficulty persists the tutor will use different strategies and proven methods to clarify assignments.  Tutoring will continue until the student understands the questions that are causing difficulties.  Assignments are expected to be turned in on time.  If problems continue, a review of strategies will be conducted as well as an examination of the student’s organizational and study skills. The tutor will check periodically with teachers with the parents’ permission to verify that assignments are turned in on time.

Studying for test taking will be done using a team approach between the student and the tutor and will be done well in advance of test date.   Test strategies will be those recognized by educational authorities as effective and recommended.
